Our Brief
The Client wanted to refresh Hampton by Hilton, Sheffield in line with the current protoype design. We were tasked with working within the current layout and retaining certain elements such as the Bar/Reception Counter while also completely refitting the buffet area.
The furniture zoning also needed to be addressed - moving away from fixed workstations to a more relaxed lounge feel bringing the space in line with current work patterns and behaviour. All loose FF&E was to be replaced within a very tight budget. Liaising with Hilton’s Design Team through the approval process negotiating on any non-protoypical items and ensuring a smooth sign-off of the design.
Our Approach
Our Team are very familiar with the Hampton by Hilton prototype, however we re-visited the most up to date pack and refreshed our knowledge. We then made a site visit. With this type of refurbishment where existing elements are to be retained it is key to visit site and get into the detail of what is remaining and what can be modified if required.
Talking to the ops team also helps identify any issues we may need to resolve in the refresh. We also gain valuable incite into the local area and culture which helps inform any bespoke elements like artwork. We then took our findings and crafted them into a plan incorporating all of the client and brand requirements.
The Results
The hotel now looks contemporary and utilizes the space available more effectively. The vibrant and fresh public area design is perfect for dining, working and relaxing. The space is now locally relevant showcasing bespoke artwork from the surrounding neighbourhood. The Client is delighted with our efforts bringing the project in on time and within budget. The finished scheme has been well received by the Brand and Guests.
